World Rabies Day – Uniting for a Rabies‑Free Future🐾💉

Growing Youth

Every year on September 28th, we observe World Rabies Day to raise awareness and promote the fight against this preventable disease. This day marks the anniversary of the death of Louis Pasteur, the French chemist and microbiologist who developed the first effective rabies vaccine. Rabies is a viral disease that is nearly always fatal once symptoms appear, but it is 100% preventable through vaccination.

This day serves as a critical reminder of the importance of vaccinating our pets and being mindful of wildlife to protect both animal and human lives. By working together, we can achieve the global goal of zero human deaths from dog-mediated rabies by 2030. Let's all do our part to create a world free of rabies.
